Sarah's Baptism

Today was Sarah's baptism. There was much fuss over her Strasburg dress, socks and shoes. The bow in her hair had to be just right. It actually stayed in!

We were glad to have the baptism take place at the beginning of the service, rather than the end when she would be plenty fussy. She put on a show for the congregation. She was baptized first, then watched intently as the pastor baptized the other baby. She waved at the congregation, especially when she spotted her friend, Matt. She clapped along with the congregation at the end.

We had lunch at our home with my mom and our small group. I served ham, hashbrown casserole, cole slaw, fruit salad and cake, along with mom's pistachio fluff. We watched the UNC basketball game. We were all tarheel fans for those two hours, and they won! It was a nice afternoon relaxing at home with friends.

Late afternoon, the neighborhood walking ladies set out for some exercise. Spring is on the verge of her arrival.
